Click the BOOK NOW button next to the vehicle you'd like. Select a tour option, then a date, then an available start time. You'll then be prompted for payment to complete the booking process.
2. CHECK YOUR INBOX
You'll get a confirmation email from Square shortly after booking. You'll get an email from us within 4-6 weeks of your tour date that will get the ball rolling with the planning process. If you don't see the email within that time frame, check your spam folder.
3. REPLY TO THE EMAIL PROMPTLY
Please don't let that email marinate in your inbox for too long: we can't start planning your experience until we have answers to the four questions we send you. We custom-design every experience according to our guests' preferences, and it can be a timely process - especially when wineries get fully booked on some dates.

Still have questions?
BACK TO THE BOOKING PAGE
F.A.Q.
ARE THERE PRE-DETERMINED STOPS ON YOUR TOURS?
Absolutely not. We custom-design each and every tour based on our guests' preferences and requests. This ensures you are visiting the places either YOU want to go or YOU will enjoy.
WHO CHOOSES THE WINERIES AND WHO MAKES THE RESERVATIONS?
You can choose the wineries and/or we can - simply answer the questions in the email I'll send to you about 4 weeks prior to your tour date. We will also handle any necessary reservations at the wineries that are selected.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
Should you need to cancel, you will be refunded in full (minus processing fees) up to one week prior to your scheduled tour.
WHERE DO WE GET PICKED UP?
Our pick-up/drop-off area includes the downtown Traverse City region and the hotel strip all along East Grand Traverse Bay up until Grand Traverse Resort. Most of the time for an additional fee, we also service Leelanau peninsula, Old Mission Peninsula, Williamsburg, the Lake Arbutus area, and pretty much everywhere within an hour of downtown Traverse City.
WHEN DOES OUR TOUR TIME START AND STOP?
Your time starts when we pick you up, and your time ends when we drop you off.
ARE WE ABLE TO ADD MORE TIME WHILE WE'RE ON OUR TOUR?
As long as your driver agrees and that the vehicle is available, absolutely! They will text you a link that you can easily pay for extra time on your phone.
WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE AT THE WINERIES?
The dress code at wineries in Traverse City tends to be casual and relaxed, but it can vary depending on the specific winery or event. Generally, "wine country casual" is a good approach, which means comfortable, stylish attire. For women: Dresses, skirts, or nice jeans with a blouse or sweater. Flats or wedges are good choices for footwear, as some wineries may have uneven terrain. For men: Polo shirts, button-downs, or nice T-shirts with jeans or chinos. Loafers or casual shoes are suitable.
WILL WE BE ABLE TO EAT WHILE ON THE TOUR?
Definitely! Not only do most wineries also offer food options, but your driver will bring snacks and chocolates for you to enjoy.
CAN WE DRINK IN THE VEHICLE?
Non-alcoholic drinks: yes. Alcoholic drinks: no. Your driver will have bottled waters for you to hydrate between stops.
CAN WE BRING PETS OR CHILDREN?
Sorry, but we cannot allow pets to ride in our vehicles. Persons under 21 can ride along, but must join your party at each destination.
DO YOU OFFER PUBLIC JOIN-IN TOURS?
Nope! We only offer private vehicles that only you and your party will use during your time with us.
CAN WE PLAY OUR OWN MUSIC IN THE VEHICLE?
All of our vehicles have Sirius XM, however if you want to bring an AUX cord or Bluetooth your device to the vehicle so your group can rock out to your own tunes, it is highly encouraged! :)
HOW MUCH DO YOUR DRIVERS TYPICALLY GET TIPPED?
Our drivers typically are tipped around $20-$30/hour via cash or Venmo, depending on their level of awesomeness.
WILL WE RECEIVE OUR TOUR ITINERARY PRIOR TO THE TOUR?
If you'd like to see what we have planned for you, please let us know and we'll happily supply that information.

Tour Tips
THE TOUR AGENDA
When there are reservations made for you at wineries, it is important to be on time. Your driver will keep you informed of when it's time to wrap things up at your current stop. Please be mindful of staying on schedule.
|
TOUR FLEXIBILITY
Life happens: crowded wineries, traffic, whatever. If time permits and it makes sense to everyone in the vehicle, plans have and can change on the fly. Don't ever feel like you're "stuck" going anywhere.
|
TIPPING
Our drivers are generally tipped between $50-$150 from our gracious guests. They work for tips and it'll show! Our drivers will not only taxi you around, but take pictures for you, ensure you're settled in at every stop, keep you on schedule, recommend things to do in the area, feed you snacks and water, and the list goes on. Cash or Venmo is appreciated and preferred.
Please tip the people helping you at the wineries also - just like you'd tip waitstaff at a restaurant.
|
ADDING TIME TO A TOUR
If time and the schedule permits, ask your driver if they'd be willing to add an hour or more to the tour if it's going well. If the driver is on board with it, they'll contact me and I'll text you an invoice which you can quickly pay upon receipt. That's it!
|
PICK-UP AND DROP-OFF LOCATIONS
If a prior agreement hasn't already been made, both pick-up and drop-off must be near the downtown area/hotel strip of Traverse City so we can keep everything on schedule. Keep in mind that it doesn't necessarily have to be where you're staying...it can be a restaurant, a store, a marina, wherever fits your schedule.
|
PETS AND CHILDREN
Sorry, but we cannot allow pets to ride in our vehicles. Persons under 21 can ride along, but must join your party at each destination.
|
MUSIC IN THE VEHICLE
All of our vehicles have Sirius XM, however if you want to bring an AUX cord or Bluetooth your device to the vehicle so your group can rock out to your tunes, it is highly encouraged! :)

More Info
The Process
- After you book your tour date, you'll receive a confirmation email.
- I'll contact you via email prior to your tour to gather more information from you: # of guests, where you're staying in Traverse City, what types of wine you like, etc.
- We can design the perfect tour together, or you can let me do all of the work. Wineries are constantly changing their reservation systems, policies, and hours, so it's best if I handle the reservations. Although if you already have reservations, keep them! They fill up fast these days.
- On the day of your tour, I will send you a text letting you know I'm on the way.
- I'll pick you up wherever you are near the downtown area/hotel strip of Traverse City. Outside this area may incur an additional charge.
- While on the road, enjoy snacks and bottled water in the vehicle while enjoying the scenery.
- Note: wine-tasting fees are not covered - expect them to be between $5 to $15 per person.
- When we are finished, I'll drop you back off anywhere near the downtown area/hotel strip of Traverse City. Outside this area may incur an additional charge.
- If my schedule allows it, extra time is easy to purchase if necessary. Cash or credit cards accepted.
THESE TOURS ARE DESIGNED FOR COUPLES/SMALL GROUPS THAT WANT TO RELAX, ENJOY WINE, AND TAKE IN THE BEAUTIFUL VIEWS OF THE TRAVERSE CITY WINE COUNTRY

About TC Wine Girl
Hi, my name is Karen and I love wine tasting! It never gets old to me and I would be honored to take you and your companion/friends around the picturesque Traverse City wine country. I fell in love with both the Old Mission Peninsula and Leelanau Peninsula winery scenes on my third wedding anniversary back around the turn of the century.
Touring Old Mission or Leelanau Peninsula is always fun, but it's even better when you aren't DRIVING!!
My husband and I have been wine tasting here for years and continue to go regularly. We always see tour buses, limos and shuttles carrying several people, but hardly anything when it comes to transportation for just two people like us.
Uber and Lyft are both an option, however they take a longggggggggg time arriving up on the peninsula. I believe it's best to spend more time wine tasting and less time worrying about transportation.
I started this company so couples or small groups can make the most of their wine-tasting adventure time plus enjoy it in style!
